David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

According to this IMDb page:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073705/soundtrack

there are two tracks from Boosey & Hawkes "Oscillating Fifths" by Alan Langford and "Insomnia" by Trevor Duncan that were used in this movie.

However, I can't find them on Discogs at all. Can anyone confirm that these tracks really exist and what release they are from?

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

Guessing that if they do exist, they're on one of the SBH 29xx LPs.

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

I'll look tomorrow. Big 'Shivers' fan so I'll be chuffed to find these!
I have a Boosey catalogue I think so will have a look there first!

From memory, 'Insomnia' may have been used in early Prisoner Cell Block H.
Keep you posted!!

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

They're on SBH 2986 & 3056.
Both sound familiar and we're both used in PCBH. Not seen Shivers for years but plan to watch over next week or two.

Wow thanks Retronic for checking!

How certain are you about SBH 3056 though? I've taken a look at the tracklist but can't spot Oscillating Fifths...

I may post a list of yet-to-be-identified cues later.

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

I suspected Oscilating Fifths is a description and it is- it's All Strung Up 33.
Have the ones on the list but need to rip the Frequency A-C tracks from SBH 2977.
Looking forward to seeing Shivers again after many years.

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

I see. There are a few electronic cues in the movie which fit the description "Oscillating Fifths" but it's not one of the All Strung Up or Hypertensions from SBH 3056. So here's hoping that there is a release that's not been listed yet which might have "Oscillating Fifths".

As promised and with a little delay here are the cues which I think still need to be identified:

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

Great. I'll check these out.
The description for All Strung Up 33 is "Eerie oscillating fifths" and I'm sure it will be in 'Shivers'. I recognize it from being used in something- probably 'Prisoner'.

Did you get the 'Rabid' comp I did a few years ago?

Re: David Cronenberg's SHIVERS (1975)

1. 'Rooms in a Museum'
3. Used in PCBH and also a Boosey.  I need to get my laptop out to find it. Probably 'Insomnia'.
5. Very Boosey.
7. 'Interim For Harp & Flute'

Do you have a list of the tracks in chronoloogical order?
